Bestest of Friends

Retro Girls, Besties Digi Stamp by +Sherri Baldy MyBesties

Good afternoon, I hope your enjoying the lovely sunshine :)
I've made this card to enter into the My Besties UK Challenge anything goes and ribbon & lace.

First I coloured this lovely image from +Sherri Baldy MyBesties using my spectrum noir pens from +Crafter's Companion :

Skin: FS2, FS9
Hair 1: TN3, EB3, EB4, TN8
Hair 2: TN1, TN2, GB1, GB6, GB7, GB9
Dress 1: PP1, PP2, PP3, PP4
Dress 2: HB1,HB2,HB3, LV2
Hair Band: CT1,CT4, HB2, LV2
Socks: LY1, CT4, LV2
Poodle: LY1, CT4
Shoes: HB1, HB3

I'm still getting the hang of my SN pens, and I'm struggling with hair, especially blonde!
(any tips would be welcome), I added pink glitter to the ruffles on the pink dress then matted and layered, 1st with black card & 2nd with purple card.

I chose some lovely papers from my stash and layered  them onto dark purple card, you can't see it on the photo but the paper on the bottom photo is embossed & glittered
(sometimes you get lovely paper that you don't want to cut up, you just want to keep it to look at, you'll all know what I mean!!!)

I then used a butterfly stamp from a collection from Tatty Twinkles, My Craft Studio
I stamped it 6 times and used purple cosmic shimmer embossing powder & coloured it in with wink of stella pens, using silicone glue to get some dimension on the wings, I stuck them together then added some gems.

Using a printed sheet from my craft studio CD I made some paper flowers to use as embellishments

I then put the card together adding lace, pearls and crushed satin pink bow.

I used +Serif  Craft Artist to make the inserts, the sentiment inside reads:
Happy Birthday to a Great Friend!
A friend is one of the nicest things you can have,
And one of the best things you can be.

and Ta Daah! finished card, I hope you like it

Abi Ballerina

I want to share with you my latest card, I decided that I am going to enter a few competitions and the first one being the All Dressed Up Challenge so I downloaded the free dig stamp Abi Ballerina, which can be found here.

I coloured my image with spectrum noir from +Crafter's Companion I used:

Hair - TN3, EB3, EB4, TN8
Skin - FS2, FS4, FS6, CR3
Dress - PP1, PP2, PP3, PP4
Background - TB1, blender
Shadow, BG1, BG2
I then used the quickie glue pen to add pink glitter to the edges of her dress.

I used spun sugar distress ink to stamp faux stitching around the edge of the image, I also blended it around the edges of the image and the card. I chose an 8 x 8 card as I wanted to keep the image to a good size. I cut 1" off the front of the card so that I could design the insert with Happy Birthday along the right hand edge and would show when the card is closed. I used +Serif  craft artist 2 and chose papers from digikit Isabel by Angie Hinksman, to use as the insert & frame around my sentiment which reads:

 Let's dance  for your birthday,
 Let's twirl and spin,
 Let's dance for your birthday,
Let the party begin.
 Happy Birthday

I stamped 3 different butterfly images twice and used cosmic shimmer embossing powder and rubbed over them with spun sugar distress ink to add some pink to tie them in with design, I've then used silicone glue to add dimension, and pink gems for the body of the butterfly.

I've used this sketch from my card making & papercraft magazine (issue133), as a guide for my layout, using some fab papers from my stash.

& TaaDaah finished card:

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

All Dressed Up Challenge - your favourite all dressed up image
the pink elephant challenge - anything goes

Wish me luck it's my first time entering challenges

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by

Uptown Girls

I bought a fabulous stamp from Stamping Bella called Uptown Girls PATTIE and DOTTIE FRIENDS FOREVER. All the uptown girls stamps are fab (I plan to buy a few, scratch that, all of them!). This is the first card I have made that I've coloured with  my new +Spectrum Noir Pens. I've noticed that when other people post cards that they have coloured they list the pens used, but I can't remember!

Tatty Twinkles

I love these images they are from my craft studio's Tatty Twinkle CD , so full of fun and bright colours, takes you back to summers as a child and carnival week when the fun fair came to town, going on the waltzers, loud music and candy floss :)  mmmmmm

I was having a great time making these cards when my printer started playing up, my inserts all printed with white lines through them, got that sorted and had problems with my car : ( So it was a couple of days before I could finish these cards.

This is my favourite card, I love the vibrancy of the papers, I want to be on that horse at the fairground !
